I sat in front of the St. Paul Public Library grateful that the February afternoon sun actually held some warmth. Looking around, I saw a couple approaching - I had met Madelyn and Wyatt over a late night video call in the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, but couldn't quite identify them from this far off. I hoped it was them. A short white dress, elegantly puffed sleaves, paired with a clean white ankle boot. Him in a classic black suit. Dang. It was them (*internal happy dance, external warm greeting and appropriate outfit gushing*).
With a July wedding in the peak of summer, Madelyn and Wyatt opted for a winter engagement session. We were initially looking at January, and waiting for some snow. The snow came for a week, but so did frigid temps. By the time the weather had mellowed out, the snow was gone again. Madelyn wanted nothing more than clean color, a monochrome palette, and an elevated look for their session - Historical Downtown St. Paul was the perfect fit. We had a balmy February evening with a glowing sunset. Who could ask for more out of winter in Minnesota?
Madelyn's second outfit stuck with the brief - a while blazer and cutest pair of pointed white heels.
